BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo baseball team dropped its series opener with Bowling Green, 8-2, at Amherst Audubon Field on Friday afternoon. Only two of the Falcons' eight runs in the game were earned due to four UB errors.
Bowling Green (17-35, 7-15 MAC) hit three straight two-out singles in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Falcons extended their lead to 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning after capitalizing on a UB error and scoring three unearned runs. A UB fielding error with two-outs in the top of the fifth inning, followed by a single, extended the Bowling Green lead to 5-0.
