BUFFALO, NY – For the first time in his UB career, junior right fielder Vinny Mallaro has been named Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week after his huge week for the Bulls, leading them to a 4-1 record to close out the regular season.
Mallaro also collected Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week and third time overall this season.
Mallaro had another outstanding week for the Bulls as he batted .450 with five home runs and 11 runs batted in during Buffalo's five games this past week where they went 4-1.
