CINCINNATI, OH – Former University at Buffalo quarterback Joe Licata has signed a free agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, the team reported on Monday. Licata originally tried out for the Buffalo Bills, and after a successful workout with the Bengals, was signed to a free agent deal.
Licata finished his career as the school record holder in nine different passing categories, including career passing yards (9,485) and touchdown passes (76). He started 40 straight games behind center for the Bulls and ranks ninth in the history of the Mid-American Conference in career touchdown passes.
