Jaret Patterson Named to Maxwell Award Preseason Watch List

PHILADELPHIA, PA – University at Buffalo sophomore running back Jaret Patterson has been named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the nation's top college football player.

Patterson is just third player in school history to be named to the Maxwell Award watch list, joining former All-MAC running back Branden Oliver and All-MAC wide receiver Anthony Johnson.

Patterson is coming off a break-out campaign in his first season with the Bulls. The Maryland-native rushed for 1,013 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year – the most ever by a freshman in school history.
