BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference announced today the Distinguished Scholar Athletes from the eight spring sports during the 2015-16 academic season and listed amongst the group were four University at Buffalo student-athletes. This list was voted on by the faculty athletic representatives and represents the "best of the best" from each sports' Academic All-MAC Teams.
Barrett Kemp, a junior biomedical sciences major from track and field, was UB's leading distance runner over the outdoor season, running a season-best in the 5,000 meters on April 9 at the Lou Onesty Invite in 14:41.24 and running a season-best in the 10,000 meters on April 28 at the Penn Relays in 29:55.
