BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo senior third baseman Chris Kwitzer was named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, as announced by the conference office. This marks the first time in Kwitzer's career that he has been recognized as Player of the Week.
Kwitzer finished off his impressive week at the dish batting a team-best .538 (7-for-13) with a slugging percentage of 1.154 and an on base percentage of .600. The senior scored a team-high seven runs to go along with three doubles, a triple, a home run, four RBI and 15 total bases as he led the Bulls to their first series win of the season, downing Murray State twice in the three-game series.
