Bulls to Honor Former Standout Rasaun Young on March 8

BUFFALO, NY – Rasaun Young, one of the best players to ever play basketball at the University at Buffalo, will have his number 11 honored on March 8 at Alumni Arena. The ceremony is scheduled for halftime of UB's game against Bowling Green.

Young played for the Bulls from 1993-98 when the team was a member of the Mid-Continent Conference. He was a three-time first-team all-conference selection and led the league in scoring his senior season, averaging 19.3 points per game. He was also an academic all-conference selection.

A native of New Rochelle, NY, Young finished his career with a school-record 1,908 points and was Buffalo's all-time leading scorer for 16 years before Javon McCrea passed him in 2014.
