WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team improved to 5-1 in the Mid-American Conference on Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Northern Illinois at the Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls came back with a huge victory in doubles earning a hard-fought first point of the afternoon. Northern Illinois took the match at second doubles, while sophomores Matthew Johnson and Valdemar Holm won at third, 6-2, to tie it up. The doubles contest came down to one where senior Ethan Nittolo and junior Hao Sheng Koay had to fight back from an early 5-2 deficit.
