AKRON, OH – The University at Buffalo softball team was swept at Akron on Wednesday afternoon as the Bulls had a hard time solving Akron hurler Erin Seiler. The Zips won the first game of the double-dip 7-1 and the second game 5-0.
Due to a postponement last week between these two teams of games scheduled to be played in Buffalo, the Bulls were the designated home team in the first game of today's double header. Akron scored two in the top of the first off starter Brieanna Baker, but the Bulls got one back in the bottom of the first as junior Savanna Norcio led off with a triple and she came in to score on a sacrifice fly by freshman Katie Weimer.
