Bulls Sweep Kent State To Open MAC Play 2-0 For First Time Since 2014

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Mid-American Conference for the first time since 2014 with a 3-0 sweep of Kent State, Saturday evening at Alumni Arena.

The Bulls took the contest 25-22, 25-16, 25-23 as they outhit the Golden Flashes, .309 to .250. UB's first set troubles did not hinder them tonight as it scored the first five points of the match. Despite the big lead, Kent State made a run in the first set, taking a 21-20 advantage. However, with the set tied at 22-22, UB rattled off the final three points, capped off on a kill from Andrea Mitrovic.
