MORGANTOWN, WV – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost for the first time this season, dropping a tough 4-3 decision at West Virginia on Friday afternoon. The loss drops UB to 4-1 on the season.
For the first time this year UB lost the doubles point despite picking up a win at second doubles as Tanja Stojanovska and Chantal Martinez Blanco won 6-2. West Virginia picked up a win at third doubles and then the Bulls lost a close decision at first doubles, 7-5.
The Mountaineers picked up wins at three and four to begin singles play before Stojanovska got the Bulls on the board with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win at first singles.
