ATHENS, OH – The University at Buffalo softball team split their doubleheader at Ohio on Friday evening winning the opener in 10 innings, 5-3, before a tough 3-2 loss in the second game. UB is now 9-10 in conference play.
Ohio got on the board first in the opener, scoring two in the bottom of the first before UB took the lead in the top of the second. The Bulls loaded the bases with one out when junior Savanna Norcio hit a bases-clearing double, which gave UB the 3-2 lead.
Ohio tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth and neither team was able to take the lead, sending the game into extra innings.
