TOLEDO, OH – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team was unable to overcome a slow start on Tuesday night, falling at Toledo, 86-54, in the Mid-American Conference opener for both schools.
The Rockets shot over 70% from the floor for much of the opening half, leading by as many as 22 during the first 20 minutes. Toledo took a 41-19 lead with 3:36 left in the half and went into the break with a 46-25 advantage.
Toledo opened the second half on an 8-0 run and took its largest lead of the night with 11:10 left, 68-33.
