PITTSBURGH, PA – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team fell 6-1 at Pittsburgh on Saturday morning, dropping to 4-2 on the season.
In doubles, UB claimed a victory at third doubles as Laura Holterbosch and Christine Harladson scored a 6-3 victory. The Bulls had a lead at second doubles, but was unable to hold on, falling 7-5, which gave Pittsburgh the doubles point.
In singles, the Bulls won at fifth singles as freshman Mercedes Losada Rubio defeated Clara Lucas, 6-4, 6-7, 10-5. The Bulls lost the other five matches in straight sets against a Pittsburgh team that has just one loss this year, a 4-3 defeat at #33 Notre Dame.
