LEWISBURG, PA - The University at Buffalo volleyball team ended its non-conference season on a high note Saturday evening as the Bulls defeated Bucknell 3-2 for UB's first victory of the season. The Bulls went 1-1 on the day as they fell to Cornell 3-1 earlier in the morning.
UB snapped its 12-match losing skid with a five set win over Bucknell on Saturday, taking the match 25-22, 11-25, 17-25, 25-19, 15-10. The Bulls overcame a 16-12 deficit in the first set as they went on a 9-3 run as a kill from sophomore Megan Wernette gave the Bulls a 21-19 lead.
