WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team completed their first spring weekend undefeated after taking down Siena 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center. The Bulls improved to 3-0 on the season with the win.
UB had to fight its way through doubles, but then won five of the six matches in singles play. Siena picked up the first win at third doubles, but Buffalo fought back with a 6-4 win at two from the freshman duo of Pia Schwarz and Hsin-Yuan Shih. UB then needed a win at first doubles and it got the victory in a tiebreaker as the team of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou fought back for the 7-6 (4) win to give Buffalo the early 1-0 lead.
