BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo track & field program announced the creation of The Garnham Throws Challenge on Monday afternoon. This event is giving recognition to UB throws coach Jim Garnham, one of the most decorated throwing coaches in the NCAA.
This unique event gives throwers of all ages the opportunity to compete in the fall season for what is traditionally a spring sport. It will be an open throwing competition including the Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, and Javelin. The competition is open to anyone and age group categories will include: 19 & under, 20–39, 40–49, 50-59, 60-69, 70–79, and 80+.
