BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo football team dropped a 31-21 decision to Ball State at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bulls were unable to capitalize on stellar defensive play in the first half and the Cardinals turned a 14-7 halftime deficit into a 10-point victory.
It was a tale of two halves for the Bulls. The defense played a very spirited first half, forcing three turnovers and slowing the Cardinals' offensive attack. However, Ball State's James Gilbert ran for 221 of his career-high 264 yards in the second half to spark the comeback.
