Outside of Missouri, CMU is the toughest team in the MAC and it showed in today as UB Wrestling lost 30-9 in Mount Pleasant.
Kyle Akins started the match off with a 6 point forfeit victory because CMU's Brent Fleetwood is still banged up with a foot/ankle injury and got UB a sizable lead early. Corey Keener jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the 1st period against Bryan Lantry and Lantry was unable to overcome the early deficit and fell by major decision. Things wouldn't get much better for UB as both Brandon Lapi and Colt Cotten fell to nationally ranked opponents; Lapi by decision 9-3 and Cotten by major decision 14-3.
