In Connecticut for UConn's Connecticut Invitational, UB Women's Tennis will only play shortened dual matches against three opponents this weekend, but got off to the right start with a sweep of Quinnipiac this evening.
The Bobcats are something of a regional power, below the Ivies at least, having not dropped a conference dual in two seasons and beginning 2016 as the overwhelming favorites to once again win the MAAC, but the Bulls took all four singles matches in addition to a single doubles showdown.
At least the abbreviated 4-1 format allowed for a longer doubles match, and UB was able to get most everyone action as the doubles pairing of Margarita Kotok and Dayana Agasieva did not compete in singles.
