Drew Anderson just set UB’s all time single game passing record. He threw for 596 yards and seven touchdowns but it was not enough for the Bulls to overcome the Western Michigan Broncos.
They were downed 71-68 in the 7th overtime by the Bronco’s. The Bulls gave Western Michigan everything they could handle but in the end they came up just short.
In the four minutes of the game the Bulls gave up a huge touchdown run and then fumbled what would have been a trying touchdown. Finding themselves down 10-0 UB battled back.
A breakdown in Western Michigan’s coverage led to a long Drew Anderson to Jacob Martinez touchdown and a drive on the teams next possession put UB up 14-10 on the defending conference champions.
