Amy Shaw set a new school record in the 5000m with a time of 16:29.13, which was five seconds faster than MAC Champion Jenney Koeppel’s record that was set at the 2005 ECAC Championship. She finished the race in fifth place behind stiff competition from Big 10 competitors. Shaw’s 5000m performance currently ranks third in the MAC.
James Benjamin went 2-0 over the weekend to help lead the UB wrestling team to a pair of dual wins over Binghamton and Northern Illinois. Against Binghamton, Benjamin shut out Mark Tracy, 4-0, to clinch the dual for the Bulls.
