KENT, OH – The University at Buffalo baseball team was blanked by first-place Kent State on Saturday afternoon at Schoonover Stadium by the score of 5-0. With their second straight loss, the Bulls fall to 14-28 overall and 6-14 in MAC play.
After a scoreless first inning, the Golden Flashes got on the board first in the second inning as Conner Simonetti took UB starter Charlie Sobieraski deep to right center field, giving Kent State the 1-0 lead after two innings.
The Bulls threatened to tie the game or take the lead in the top of the fourth inning as Chris Kwitzer and Andrew Taft hit back-to-back singles before Ben Haefner worked a walk to load the bases.
