William & Mary or West Point.
Those were the final two choices Sean McDermott gave himself in deciding where he would continue playing football after high school.
Growing up in a household that demanded discipline, routine and doing things the right way, West Point on the surface looked like a natural fit for a young man that believed in all of it. He had an appointment from West Point in hand and William & Mary was not offering a scholarship at the outset.
McDermott carefully weighed both options and felt good about his decision.
“I chose William and Mary,” he said.
