Kansas City Chiefs quarterback EJ Manuel has retired from the NFL, a source told ESPN's Field Yates.
Manuel, a first-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2013, was signed in the offseason to compete for the Chiefs' backup job.
Manuel hasn't played an NFL game since 2017.
The Florida State product finishes his NFL career with 3,767 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
