The Buffalo Bills are playing something of an exhibition game this week, squaring off against another team locked into the postseason, the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course, in the final two weeks of the regular season, both teams are playing for seeding position in the postseason tournament as well as hoping to parlay some momentum into the playoffs.
This is the NFL, but it can’t be lost that the Bills don’t have much left to play for beyond those two facts. They don’t control their destiny much in the final two weeks, with outcomes of other games around the league determining where they fit in the postseason picture, whether they win both of their remaining games, split them, or lose out.
