The Buffalo Bills have benched Tyrod Taylor. Rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman will get his first career start on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Sean McDermott announced at Wednesday morning’s press conference.
In relief effort against the New Orleans Saints, Peterman completed seven-of-ten passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He looked far more comfortable reading the field and anticipating throws in Rick Dennison’s orthodox offense than Taylor.
Taylor is coming off his worst performance as a pro, a 9-of-18 passing, 56 yard performance with no touchdowns and an interception.
