CLEVELAND -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Cassel is in uniform but will not play in Thursday night's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.

Via the team's official Twitter account, Bills coach Rex Ryan said Cassel's absence is because of game plan and not because of an injury.
