Indianapolis Colts sign Buffalo Bills safety target Sean Davis

The Buffalo Bills hosted veteran safety Sean Davis on a free-agent visit last week, but he won’t be joining the club on its quest for a Super Bowl in 2021. Instead, Davis signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the signing.

Davis, 27, was a full-time starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017 and 2018, starting 31 of 32 regular season games. He entered the 2019 season slated to start once again, but a shoulder injury ended his season after just one game. The Steelers acquired Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins just two days after placing Davis on injured reserve that year.
