Former Buffalo Bills TE Logan Thomas signs with Detroit Lions

Tight end Logan Thomas, who spent the past two seasons playing for the Buffalo Bills, has signed with the Detroit Lions, the team announced on Thursday. Thomas, whose career began as a quarterback out of Virginia Tech, converted to tight end as a member of Detroit’s practice squad back in 2016, at which point the Buffalo Bills signed him to their active roster.

The 6’6” 250 pound Thomas was one of the friendliest members of the squad, but although his raw athleticism often impressed in training camp, the project tight end never developed into a starter.
