Eight members of Tennessee Titans test positive for COVID-19

Three players and five personnel on the Tennessee Titans have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report from NFL Network reporters Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafalo. The Titans, along with their Week three opponents, the Minnesota Vikings, have cancelled in-person practices and switched to remote meetings effective immediately, until they can understand the full scope of a potential virus spread.

The Titans are the Week five opponent of the Buffalo Bills, scheduled to play the team on October 11th, twelve days from today. With the coronavirus estimated to last in the body for as much as two full weeks, this development puts Buffalo’s game with the Titans into wait-and-see mode and could potentially jeopardize Tennessee’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend, a match between two undefeated AFC teams.
