The first-place Tennessee Titans were dealt a major blow during their overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. After tests came back on Monday, it was confirmed by multiple reporters and announced by coach Mike Vrabel that MVP candidate Derrick Henry will need foot surgery, sideling him for at least eight weeks and possibly the rest of the season.
The Titans are working out another former MVP, 36-year-old Adrian Peterson, in the meantime.
Henry has handled 219 of the 230 running back rushing attempts by the Titans this year and is a massive centerpiece of their offense.
