The Buffalo Bills came into today’s date with the Cincinnati Bengals shorthanded. Late in the first quarter, they lost Charles Clay. The Bills’ tight end appeared to injure his left knee on a long reception from quarterback Tyrod Taylor. His feet tangled with a teammate’s, then he was hit low on the tackle.
Clay was unable to put any weight on his left leg while on the sideline. He needed help from two trainers, one under each arm, in order to walk to the blue medical tent on the sideline.
Nick Veronica noted that Clay was limping on the sideline after the play.
