Buffalo Bills won’t use franchise tag in 2021

The Buffalo Bills won’t use their franchise or transition tags in 2021, according to multiple media reports.

The only player really worth considering at that dollar figure would have been linebacker Matt Milano, who would have made $15.6 million under the tag. If the Bills were going to re-sign Milano, it always made more sense for them to get him on a long-term deal with a cap hit of $10 million in 2021. His injury history and a glut of linebackers set to hit the market probably swung Buffalo’s decision.

Right tackle Daryl Williams and right guard Jon Feliciano didn’t make sense at $14.
