Buffalo Bills trade DE Darryl Johnson to Carolina Panthers

On Saturday, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said the team was receiving phone calls on the availability of their defensive ends on the trade market. On Monday, the Bills traded Darryl Johnson to the Carolina Panthers for a 2022 sixth-round pick.

Johnson had been running in the second and third wave of defensive ends in the preseason. With the additions of three pass rushers in the NFL Draft over the last two years plus veterans Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, and free-agent signing Efe Obada, he had an uphill climb to the roster.
