It was February 27, 2018 and the Bills had a made a move the night before by signing Vontae Davis.
The experienced defender was set to join the Bills and be a starter for the entire season. He was getting $5 million so it was expected he would be playing at a high level.
Instead, he retired during halftime of the second game of the season.
It was a fun signing at the time because Davis visited several teams, but ultimately decided to join the Bills.
