Before hitting the practice fields at St. John Fisher University on Sunday morning, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott spent several minutes running through a lengthy list of injured players. It’s a list that includes two who are listed as week-to-week: cornerback Maxwell Hairston, who’s now joined by wide receiver Khalil Shakir.
Hairston remains sidelined with an LCL sprain, while Shakir is now dealing with a high ankle sprain. McDermott stated that Shakir has dealt with a similar injury before, but that with this one “it’s going to take some time” before Josh Allen’s top target from 2024 is back on the field.
