Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Trey Adams announces his retirement

Thursday brought a bit of surprise news as offensive lineman Trey Adams announced his retirement via his Instagram account. The news comes after just one year at the professional level as the 24-year old Adams spent the 2020 season with the Buffalo Bills.

Once touted as a possible first-round pick, ACL and back injuries derailed his college career. Post-injury, Adams’s stock fell and he was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent. Waived on September 5th by Buffalo, he was then added to the practice squad the following day. Adams was in the group of players signed to a reserves/futures deal back in January.
