In terms of the NFL calendar, June 1st is rather important in terms of how teams manage their salary cap. After this day, the Buffalo Bills, or any team, can release a player and split any dead cap space between this season and next.
This is important to the Buffalo Bills for two reasons and the first is that they can create some additional cap space by releasing a player at this point in the offseason.
