Buffalo Bills free agency 2016: Stefan Charles to Detroit Lions

Charles becomes the fifth former Bills defender to be scooped up by another team this offseason, joining Mario Williams, Nigel Bradham, Leodis McKelvin, and Ron Brooks.

Free agent defensive lineman Stefan Charles has agreed to a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, making him the third Buffalo Bills defender to bolt via free agency this offseason.

Charles, who will turn 28 in June, had been a restricted free agent entering the offseason, but once the Bills passed on tendering an offer to him, he became an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year.
