Prior to their game against the Houston Texans, the Buffalo Bills elevated cornerback Cam Lewis from their practice squad.
Lewis, 24, appeared in five games for Buffalo last season, making two starts. He made seven tackles without intercepting or defending a pass. He was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury last October 31.
Lewis is being elevated this week as insurance for cornerback Taron Johnson, who is listed as questionable this week thanks to a groin injury. Lewis briefly unseated Johnson as Buffalo’s main slot corner last year before suffering the wrist injury that ended his season.
