Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes hadn’t been seen at practice this training camp until Saturday. He arrived with a strained calf and has been working with trainers for a couple weeks. He worked out on the sideline over the weekend and Tuesday was activated from the Non-Football Injury List.
The NFI list is for players who are injured away from the team facility. Hughes strained his calf while working out in preparation for camp. Hughes took his time getting fully healthy before coming back.
In the meantime, the Bills have been running the young guns at his position.
