Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Sunday that first-round draft pick Tre’Davious White and cornerback Shareece Wright have seen action over the top of the defense as safeties. McDermott said that sometimes in his defense he will do that in a particular package.
“It’s more of a package that we have going on right now,” McDermott said. “It’s part of the system and you saw some of that the other night.”
He also said he’s always looking to see if players can contribute at more than one position, in addition to special teams work, calling it “line of scrimmage value”.
