The Buffalo Bills on Tuesday morning made a move to help their cap situation when they restructured star wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ deal. The move ultimately doesn’t impact Diggs too much but converting the base salary to a signing bonus created nearly $8 million in cap space.

This is a move that helps in the short term but also has significant long-term impacts as Diggs cap hits in 2022 and 2023 go up to over $17 million each season, according to Spotrac.
