ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Kickers struggling to convert extra points this season are fulfilling the NFL's wish to make that phase of the game less of a certainty, Buffalo Bills kicker Dan Carpenter said Tuesday.
"They wanted us to miss," he said. "Frankly, that's what they wanted. And they're getting it, and everyone wonders why. They wanted it more difficult. And it is, and now no one's complaining -- well, except for players and coaches and everybody who relies on that one point -- so I don't know what to say about it.
"They wanted people to not go to the bathroom during the extra point.
