Bills vs. Lions: Greg Rousseau explodes in first NFL action

The Buffalo Bills drafted Miami defensive end Greg Rousseau late in the first round. A one-year wonder with the Hurricanes, Rousseau opted out of the 2020 season because his mother was a nurse in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. In his first football game since 2019 (albeit preseason), he made a name for himself.

Working against fellow first-rounder Penei Sewell, Rousseau showed he was up for the challenge, using his incredible arm length to keep the top-10 pick opposite him at bay. It’s not a recipe for sustained success, but it’s a good early sign, as was his sack on his third snap as a pro.
