Bills' veteran gives big praise to overlooked rookie early on in camp

One rookie that the Buffalo Bills drafted that caused a lot of confusion was tight end Jackson Hawes out of Georgia Tech. The Bills drafted him in the 5th round and quite frankly, they could have gone with a different direction. He was the first offensive player that the team drafted, but the Bills were better with drafting a wide receiver, or maybe even a running back to develop should James Cook leave Buffalo after the 2025 season.

Coming out of Georgia Tech, Hawes is not a receiving tight end like Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid are.
