Bills part ways with underperforming defensive back (again) in latest roster shakeup

The Buffalo Bills have released defensive back Dane Jackson as the Tuesday deadline for a finalized 53-man roster draws closer. Jackson, a six year veteran who re-signed with the team this offseason after a stint with the Carolina Panthers back in 2024, once again lands off the team. He was drafted by Buffalo in 2020 out of Pitt, but never got his footing as a bonafide starting option for team.

The move, which was reported on by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, comes after a lackluster training camp and preseason for the veteran. He could've been a servicable backup to Christian Benford in theory, but clearly, the Bills didn't feel the same.
