When the Buffalo Bills learned that wide receiver Khalil Shakir suffered a high-ankle sprain before the preseason, it was actually a relief that it wasn’t anything worse. Over the last two years, Shakir has slowly become Josh Allen’s go-to guy and the Bills extended him this past offseason. They clearly believe in him and it looks like they got lucky with just a sprain.
While the Bills may have caught a break, those types of injuries could be lingering so Shakir may not be at full 100% for quite some time. With that being said, it makes you wonder if the Bills may want to consider bringing in some additional help if they feel that their depth isn’t strong enough.
