1 – Farm boy – Allen grew up on a 3,000-acre grain and cotton farm in Northern California, and worked the farm with his family.
2 – Lightly recruited – Without any FBS college scholarship offers for Allen, he played his first two years of college ball at Reedley Community College, before he moved on to Wyoming where he’d start for two seasons.
3 - Big mitts – Allen had the largest hand size among QB prospects in the draft class. With his hand outstretched it measured 10 1/8 inches from thumb to pinky.
